Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC)
SWT Health and Safety offers various Enhanced Learning Credits (ELCAS) approved courses for individuals transitioning from military service to a career in health and safety. These courses, available since 2020, include NEBOSH Classroom and eLearning options, which are eligible for ELC funding. The website guides through the ELCAS claim process and offers bundle deals in different learning modes like Classroom, Virtual Classroom, and eLearning.

How to complete the ELCAS Claim process:
To access your funding for our approved training courses and to book your place, you will need to complete the following process:
► Step 1: Choose the required courses, note the Course Codes at the side of each course below and our ELCAS provider number 8747
► Step 2: Complete an ELC claim via the ELCAS website.
► Step 3: Once approved, please send a copy of the Claim Authorisation Note (CAN) to us.
► Step 4: Complete our online booking form – this will be sent once we receive the CAN from you.
► Step 5: We will then invoice you to pay your 20% contribution.

ELCAS FAQ's
Your eligibility is displayed on the dashboard of your members’ area, if not, please contact ELCAS here
For the lower tier of funding you are required to have completed a minimum of four years qualifying service prior to 1st April 2017 or not less than six years eligible service if you enlisted on/after the 1st April 2013.
For higher tier claims you are required to complete a minimum of eight years eligible service.
On the lower tier of funding you are entitled to claim 80% of the cost of a Level three or above course up to the maximum of £1000.00. For the higher tier this is up to £2000.00 per ELC claim.
Your final claim must be submitted before the 10th anniversary of your last day of service if you left before 1st April 2016. If you left on/after 1st April 2016 or later, they expire on the 5th anniversary of your last day of service. The course MUST start before this expiry date.
The policy on the expiry date for a number of service leavers changed recently; information on this change can be found here. Additionally you may wish to read JSP 822 alongside DIN 2021DIN01-052 for more information on the expiration date of your claims particularly in respect of those service leavers who were medically discharged.
