UKATA - Asbestos Awareness

It is estimated that over two million workplaces contain asbestos, which remains the single biggest cause of work-related deaths in the UK. Any organisation that allows builders or maintenance personnel onto their premises should ensure that they have evidence of asbestos awareness training. UKATA provides a quality standard for that training.
About this course
If you have no intention of removing asbestos but work on buildings built or refurbished before the year 2000, where asbestos could be present you will need awareness training so you know how to avoid the risks. Our training is approved by the UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA), so you can be rest assured that you will receive quality health and safety advice on each of our training courses. UKATA Asbestos Awareness teaches people to understand what asbestos is, the typical locations where it is found and how to work safely to avoid exposure in the event that they are working in the vicinity of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
