Workplace First Aid Course

We offer first aid courses and cpr training at our open course locations or at your business location.  As an employer, you must provide adequate and appropriate first aid equipment, facilities and personnel to your workplace. This is to ensure your employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. Workplace first aid courses are the solution.

Southwest Health and Safety follow HSE guidance and because of this we believe, we set the high standards in the delivery of first aid training.

We deliver a number of First Aid courses at our venues and in-company, these include the First Aid at Work,  Emergency First Aid as well as Paediatric First Aid courses.

First aid qualifications are essential for any organisation. Our extensive range of first aid training courses can be delivered in-house or as an open course at one of our centres or anywhere on the UK.

All our courses are fun & engaging, with lots of practice, we also know that first aid is a serious subject but we also know that you learn better when the course is enjoyable.

First Aid training – 3 Days

This 3 day First Aid at Work course is for people intending to act as a First Aider at Work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
The course is designed to provide the First Aider with the skills to deal with an emergency effectively, to give emergency life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty with the emphasis on preventing situations from becoming worse and maintaining life until help arrives.

Paediatric First Aid training – 2 Days

This Regulated Qualification fulfills the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare.
This Level 3 qualification is an extended version of the Emergency Paediatric First Aid.

Emergency First Aid at Work – 1 Day 

Where an organisations risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid Course to be taken, this Level 3 Award for Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid – the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
​All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid – 1 Day 

This latter qualification meets the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare.
This qualification is the first unit (day one) of the Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid.
