Why should I take an accredited NEBOSH training course?
NEBOSH Courses are the most widely held health and safety qualification of its kind in the UK with over 170,000 people having gained the qualification since it was launched in 1989.
NEBOSH Courses are suitable for managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations making day-to-day decisions at work who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues and to be able to manage risks effectively. Many people take the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a first step in a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview and is a sound basis for further professional study.

The NEBOSH unit approach
Students can choose to take the examined units in any order, and will receive a certificate denoting their achievement for each unit that they pass. When all units making up the qualification have been successfully passed, the student will receive the award parchment.
Holding a range of qualifications in health and safety can be an advantage in today’s jobs market, wherever you might wish to work in the world. NEBOSH Certificate qualifications are structured to contain certain common units, allowing you to use your previous achievements to attain additional Certificate-level NEBOSH qualifications.
The NEBOSH Environmental certificate is a standalone qualification and is supported by the Environmental Agency.
What if I have already completed NGC1?
If you have successfully achieved a full NEBOSH National General Certificate course that included NGC1, then you can achieve the National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety and the National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management without re-sitting the common unit (NGC1).
If you have already completed NGC1 within the last 5 years you can opt for the shorter courses when retaking: National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management and the National General Certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
